Words mean a lot to Miranda Lambert as she
attempts to move on from her divorce from
Blake Shelton -- and on Thursday, Sept 3, a
poignant message on a New York sidewalk
brought the chart-topping country singer to the
ground.
Having spent a night out with her girlfriend,
Lambert came across a piece of sidewalk with
the words "Protect Yo Heart" stamped across it.
Feeling understandably moved by the sentiment,
the "Platinum" singer decided she couldn't walk
past the words without reacting.
Wearing a figure hugging black dress with lace
sleeves, the platinum blonde singer got down on
the floor and had her pal snap a photograph of
her lying dramatically next to the words, her
head turned towards them and her pretty
tresses falling across her face.
"I don't normally lay on the sidewalk in NYC,"
Lambert captioned the photo which she shared
via Facebook later that night. "Words move me,"
she added. "Words make me move. #NYC."
The 31-year-old singer had already shared
another, more upbeat photo earlier that evening,
which showed her and a pal smiling broadly
after having dinner at the city's swanky Fresco
by Scotto restaurant. She gave the smiley
picture the hashtags #girlsnight, #foodcoma,
#NYC.
